In this sense, the Companies act as a data controller (“Data Controller”). This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) provides insight into our practices regarding the collection and processing of personal data.

As a data controller, we process your personal data in accordance with the applicable rules on the protection of personal data, in particular in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter: General Regulation) and the Law on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (OG 42/2018).

2. Types of personal data that will be processed

Companies collect and process personal data about you (e.g. information that can be used to directly or indirectly identify you, in particular by means of identifiers such as name, surname, e-mail address, phone number, or company name if the name contains personal information, personal information if you are registering as media representatives to participate in events , photo and recording, IP address and other personal data if you provide them in communication with us, when executing a contractual relationship, by participating in events, prize games or contests (“Personal Data”), in cases where:

  • use the contact forms on the Site
  • you contact us or connect with us via social networks,
  • we photograph the events and activities we organize,
  • make comments or ask questions,
  • you fill in the application form for accreditation at the events we organize
  • we cooperate with you as our suppliers, business partners,
  • when we issue an invoice for products/services

The Company will not collect Personal Data if you do not provide it to us voluntarily, except for certain Personal Data collected through information systems and programs used for the operation of the Site, the transfer of which is inherent in the use of Internet communication protocols (e.g. IP addresses when logging into the contact form and form for registration) and will not require more information than is necessary to participate in certain activities. If you do not wish to provide us with Personal Information (other than Personal Information related to the use of Internet communication protocols that is usually collected when you visit the Website), you may still access our Site, but you will not be able to communicate and cooperate with us or participate in events, prize competitions games and contests that we organize.

At the entrances to the conference area that will be filmed and photographed, a Notice about photography and filming will be clearly posted and a link to the Privacy Policy will be indicated, and this is our legitimate interest since we are organizing the conference. If you do not want to be recorded/photographed, please emphasize or do not enter the recording/photographing area. We will not publish individual recordings and pictures of children (under 18 years of age) in which they can be recognized anywhere without first obtaining the consent of their legal representatives, unless the recordings/pictures were taken in a group shot. The provision of information by the visitor/sender is voluntary and there is no contractual obligation or requirement for the visitor/sender to do so. The data controller will not create profiles from the collected information, that is, there will be no automated decision-making.

4. Purposes, legal basis of processing and possible consequences of not providing Personal Data

When you provide your Personal Information, we will limit the use of the Personal Information to the purpose for which it was collected in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

We process personal data on the basis of your consent, legitimate interest, for the performance of a contractual obligation, and on the basis of a legal obligation. The processing of Personal Data is limited only to the purpose for which it was collected in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

When we process data on the basis of your consent, we process only the personal data that you voluntarily gave us when communicating with us, in order to answer your questions, when you participate in prize competitions and prize games that we organize, when you fill out the application form for accreditation at the events that we organize . The purpose of the processing is to take steps according to your request, e.g. answering questions and comments, communicating about your activities on the site, receiving your applications for participation in the prize contest, raffle, receiving your applications for issuing accreditation for the events we organize.

On the basis of legitimate interest, we process personal data when you access our website (IP address), when we take photos of the events and activities we organize. When we organize a conference during which we will photograph and record guests, we will do so either on the basis of legitimate interest, of which you will be informed in advance and before entering the recording/photographing area, or you will be asked for your consent beforehand. The purpose of this processing includes the process of investigating suspected fraud, harassment, physical threats or other violations of the Site’s rules, or any suspicious behavior that we consider inappropriate. We process the recordings/pictures of the participants at our events for the purpose of promoting the event.

In order to fulfill contractual obligations and on the basis of legal and by-law regulations, we are obliged to process your personal data when you buy our products or use our services. The data of business partners and suppliers is specially processed (e.g. agreements regarding the execution of services), in addition we also process the contact data of business partners who are natural persons and their employees (e.g. first and last name, official telephone / mobile phone number, e-mail address ), as well as customers due to issuing invoices.

The company MPG d.o.o. sends information through the Newsletter with the latest information about promotional offers and news about the Advanced Technology Days conference and other informative news about events in the field of technology. For this purpose, the company will only use your e-mail address based on the consent you gave by checking the special box for consent when registering for the conference. Each recipient of the Newsletter can easily and quickly unsubscribe by sending a message to the e-mail address: appl .

5. Recipients

Your Personal Data may be disclosed in the following cases:

  • entities we use to organize and implement events (e.g. event photography)
  • authorized PR agencies, event organizers,
  • entities that are directly involved in the implementation and realization of certain events
  • entities that maintain our IT systems,
  • to persons authorized by the Company to process Personal Data, who are subject to the obligation of confidentiality (employees of the Company),
  • law enforcement services and public authorities when required by applicable law, legitimate or public interest (to protect and defend the rights or property of the Company and the Site, or to act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Company, the Site or the public)
  • to the legal advisors of the Companies in the event of the need to forward data for legal procedures,
  • to business partners for their needs only in accordance with appropriate legal grounds
  • To media houses and digital marketing agencies for the purpose of publishing photos in print media, on websites and social networks

6. Transfer of Personal Data to third countries

The information we collect is stored within the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA) excluding Switzerland, but may also be transferred to and processed in a country outside the EU and EEA. Any such transfer of personal data will be carried out in accordance with the applicable legal regulations, which guarantees adequate protection of personal data.

7. Retention and storage of personal data

We process personal data only for the time necessary to achieve the purpose of processing them.

Personal data that we process on the basis of consent are processed only until you withdraw your consent, while you can object to the processing of personal data on the basis of legitimate interest. We process the personal data of participants of prize games and prize contests for 120 days from the day of the end of the prize game or prize contest, while we keep the personal data of winners for 11 years in accordance with the accounting law. Other personal data that we process on the basis of your inquiries from the contact form are kept for a maximum of 6 months from the date of receipt, and we keep the data of business partners and suppliers until the termination of business cooperation and do not deliver them to third parties or export them to third countries. In doing so, we do not collect any data of a private nature, but data related to the fulfillment of work tasks.

We store all other personal data that we process on the basis of the execution of the contractual relationship and on the basis of legal obligations in accordance with the positive regulations in which the storage time is determined (e.g. the Accounting Act). Exceptionally, we will keep your personal data longer than the stated deadlines when it is necessary to fulfill mutual legal requirements. At the end of the term, we will destroy stored personal data printed on paper in a safe way, for example by cutting or burning, while we will irreversibly delete data in electronic form.

8. Your rights and exercise of rights

  1. Right to rectification:
    If we process your personal data that is incomplete or incorrect, you can ask us to correct or supplement it at any time.
  2. Right of access:
    You have the right to receive a confirmation about whether we process your personal data or not, and where this is the case you have under the conditions of Art. 15. General regulations to request access to this data.
  3. Right to erasure:
    You can ask us to delete your personal data if we have processed them illegally or if this processing represents a disproportionate encroachment on your protected interests. Please take into account that there are reasons that prevent immediate deletion, for example to comply with a legal obligation that requires processing.
  4. Right to restriction of processing:
    You can ask us to limit the processing of your data:
    – if you dispute the accuracy of the data during the period that allows us to check the accuracy of the data;
    – if the processing of the data was illegal, but you refuse the deletion and instead request the restriction of the use of the data;
    – if we no longer need the data for the intended purposes, but you still need them to meet legal requirements or;
    – if you have filed an objection regarding the distribution of this data.
  5. Right to data portability:
    You can ask us to deliver the data you have entrusted to us for archiving in a structured form, in the usual machine-readable format:

When you submit a request in order to exercise your rights, we are obliged to establish your identity first, and for this purpose we will ask for additional information to verify it. This serves to protect your rights and private sphere.
